Band Presentation - Live Act 

Call it a reboot: Andy Cale brings with him the new band mates Peppe Floridia (Basso, Cori), Alberto Rocca (Keyboards, Cori) and Luca Zanon (Battery), in a totally renewed line up for the third album "Haapsalu ". The new line up, accompanied by a new show formula with visual animations, takes the repertoire of the first two albums and much new stuff. All starting from two great returns: the keyboards - Hammond, Mellotron and Electric Piano - and the Sitar, with a dedicated set!
 

Formed in 2010, the Selfish Cales started from Garage sounds to evolve, over time, to many influences from the English psychedelia : Pretty Things, Kaleidoscope, Kula Shaker. The latest album, "Haapsalu", marks a new path marked by Progressive sounds, between vocal harmonisations and hegemonic keyboards.

From a Journey to Estonia, a re-birth: Haapsalu, the third album by Italian Psych Rock band The Selfish Cales, is also a new starting point, with a totally renewed line-up. Andy, the only member left from the original line up, presents in Haapsalu an intense turn of the sound in new territories between Psychedelic and Progressive Rock: hegemonic keyboards and vocal harmonies, eclectic variations and Andy's personal farewell to the bass guitar, here played by him for the last time in this record. In the background: Haapsalu, eleven thousand inhabitants; a glimpse by the Baltic Sea, where time seems to have stopped, a snapshot from a vivid journey in search of oneself and the calls of the soul.

Si riparte da qui: Andy Cale porta con se i nuovi Peppe Floridia (Basso, Cori), Alberto Rocca (Tastiere, Cori) e Luca Zanon (Batteria), in una totalmente rinnovata line up della band alle prese con il terzo album "Haapsalu".  La nuova formazione, accompagnata da una nuova formula di show con animazioni visive, porta con sè il repertorio dei primi due Album e molte novità. A partire da due grandi ritorni: le tastiere - a cavallo tra Hammond, Mellotron e Piano elettrico - e il Sitar, con un set dedicato!

Attivi dal 2010, i Cales partono da territori marcatamente Garage per evolversi, nel tempo, in influenze dalla psichedelia Inglese di Pretty Things, Kaleidoscope, Kula Shaker. L'ultimo album, "Haapsalu", segna un nuovo percorso segnato da sonorità Progressive, tra armonizzazioni vocali e tastiere egemoni.

Dall'Estonia, un viaggio che diventa seconda nascita: Haapsalu, terzo album dei Selfish Cales, è anche nuovo punto di partenza della band Psych Rock Torinese, in una line up oggi totalmente rinnovata. Andy, unico membro rimasto dalla line up originaria, presenta con Haapsalu un' intensa virata del sound in territori a cavallo tra Psichedelia e Progressive: tastiere e armonizzazioni vocali egemoni, inserti eclettici e un suo personale saluto al basso, qui suonato per l'ultima volta in tutto l'album. Sullo sfondo Haapsalu, undicimila abitanti: uno scorcio di Mar Baltico in cui il tempo sembra essersi fermato, istantanea d'un vivido viaggio alla ricerca di sé e dei moti dell'animo.
